SUBANG: Benelli in Malaysia has launched the smallest variant in the company’s line-up of bike in the form of TNT 135 LE (Limited Edition) that takes aim at new/young riders.
Costing RM9,988 without GST and insurance and available either Black, White or Red, the bike is accompanied by a Limited Edition sticker with running numbers for up to ‘1000’.
The company touts it as a mini/fun bike that comes with tons of additional red aesthetic accessories that include the clutch and brake levers with handle bar protectors, handle bar riser, front axle bar slider and a front brake reservoir cover cap.
Other accessories include a rear axle bar slider, engine oil cap, oil filter cap, engine protector, frame decorations, carbon fibre exhaust cover for the dual-tipped exhaust and matching front and rear foot pegs.
Between the steel-tube lattice designed frame is a 134.7cc oil-cooled single-piston Euro 4 motor with an electric starter is fed by a 7.2-litre petrol tank, to produce 13hp at 9,000rpm that’s managed by a five-speed manual transmission with a wet multi-plate clutch.
The bike rides on 41mm inverted front forks with 120mm of travel and an oil-damped rear telescopic coil spring with 50mm of travel - giving it 160mm of ground clearance.
With a wheelbase of 1,215mm, grip comes from its front 120-70 and rear 130/70 tires with 12-inch aluminium alloy wheels.
Braking duties are handled by a single front 220mm disc with two-piston calliper and a single rear 190mm disc matched to a single-piston calliper.
