CYBERJAYA: BMW Group Malaysia has added Regas Premium Sabah as its latest dealer representative for its brands BMW, BMW Motorrad, BMW i and MINI to help grow the premium automaker’s brand portfolio in the 'Land Below the Wind'.
The new dealer - a joint venture between TM Vision Auto Services Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of Tan Brothers Machinery Company (TBMC) group of companies) and Regas Premium Auto Sdn Bhd will be taking over operations from FM Autohaus.
The dealership will officially open on July 1 at the existing 53,500 square feet 4S (sales, service, spare parts and systems) facility located at Mile 3, Lido, Jalan Penampang.
“East Malaysia has long been a contributing market to our growth here and we are excited to have Regas Premium Sabah on board as our new dealer in Kota Kinabalu to continue growing our presence in the State of Sabah,” said BMW Group Malaysia managing director and CEO Harald Hoelzl.
He added that the State of Sabah currently contributes over 500 vehicle sales annually to the premium segment in the country and has the potential to double over the next five years.
“Last year, we experienced an 18% growth in our deliveries in Sabah in comparison to 2016 which really demonstrates the potential in the state.”
BMW Group Malaysia currently has a network of 20 BMW, eight MINI, and nine BMW Motorrad dealerships nationwide.
