CYBERJAYA: BMW Group Malaysia and Tian Siang Premium Auto have installed two new BMW i Charging Facilities each at The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat in Ipoh and the Iconic Hotel in Penang to form part of BMW Group Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to drive e-mobility forward.

The new charging facilities arrive following the introduction of the first BMW i Charging Facilities in Perak earlier this year by Tian Siang Premium Auto at WEIL Hotel, Ipoh.

This was followed by another installation at the Holiday Inn Melaka and The Equatorial Melaka by Seong Hoe Premium Motors as well as at CityONE Megamall Kuching by Regas Premium Auto Sarawak.

BMW Group Malaysia’s portfolio of Visionary Mobility with the BMW iPerformance vehicles are also supported by the ChargEV platform through its partnership with the Malaysian Green Technology Corporation.

The BMW ChargeNow service, which is offered as part of the BMW 360-degree ELECTRIC programme, also grants direct access to partner charging facilities like ChargEV.

Here, customers can enjoy 24/7 support and access to all charging locations in ChargEV’s growing network, which now offers more than 270 charging facilities nationwide.

“The New BMW i Charging Facilities are another step forward for us. BMW Group Malaysia has delivered close to 10,000 vehicles year-to-date and with BMW iPerformance vehicles accounting for 56% of total deliveries, it makes Malaysia among the top three markets for BMW plug-in hybrid vehicles deliveries," said BMW Group Malaysia head of sales Raymond Tan.
