MARBELLA (Spain): The BMW M8 Gran Coupe gets promoted further by none other than M president Markus Flasch in a video clip posted today.

The latest M8 variant is due for a world premiere at the LA Auto Show later this month.

In the clip, Flasch is seen in the Spanish resort city doing a walkaround of the M8 Gran Coupe, which is presented alongside the M8 Coupe and M8 Convertible.

The clip, posted up just 7 hours ago, has already raked up nearly 11,000 views.

Flasch also previewed the M8 Gran Coupe when he was in Johannesburg in October for the BMW M Festival. At the time, he glossed over the car without expounding as much as he did in this walkaround.

The M8 Gran Coupe is over 200mm longer than its Coupe counterpart.

It comes in two flavours: the standard M8 Gran Coupe and the M8 Competition Gran Coupe.

The high-revving 4.4-litre V8 M TwinPower Turbo engine of both variants produces 750Nm of torque, while the M8 Competition Gran Coupe has 25 horses more than the M8 Gran Coupe at 625hp.

The M8 Competition Gran Coupe goes from 0 to 100kph in 3.2 seconds, 0.1s faster than the M8 Gran Coupe.

Towards the end of the video presentation, Flasch revealed that his favourite perspective of the car was the rear and the sound.
