BMW M4 Convertible 'Edition 30 Jahre' launches in Germany

MUNICH: BMW M GmbH, the performance arm of BMW, has launched its M4 Convertible 'Edition 30 Jahre' (Edition 30 Years) special edition model and announced that only 300 numbered examples will be made.

The 450hp drop-top M4 comes two colour choices of Macao Blue metallic (paying homage to the open-top's debut three decades ago) and Mandarin II uni that's reminiscent of the colour Dakar Yellow for the second generation M3 Convertible.

Also, the four-seater special edition features the M Competition Package that consists of a M Sport exhaust system, adaptive M suspension, retuned Dynamic Stability Control for the Sport driving mode and an Active M differential.

Standard fitment includes the company's Individual High Gloss Shadow Line trims for the kidney grille surround, M side gills, model lettering and the 20-inch forged M light alloys in star-spoke design that are exclusively coloured in Orbit Grey matt.

Inside, the cabin is accented by carbon fibre strips as standard for all model variants, while applying Merino leather to match the desired paintwork and in conjunction with the exterior colour Macao Blue metallic, owners get a choice of either Black/Fjord Blue or Black/Silverstone combination.

The exclusive features also comprise of corresponding contrast stitching on the headrests as well as M floor mats with piping in the respective contrasting colour while black interior surfaces get yellow contrast stitching for those who opt for the Mandarin II uni exterior colour.

Occupants are further reminded with the “30 Jahre Edition” badges found on the doorsills and headrests as a signet on the interior trim strip on the passenger side dashboard indicates the number “1/300”.
