KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Motorrad Malaysia wants to "Make Life a Ride" by introducing their extended warranty coverage programmes for its motorcycles as well as a five-year warranty extension for its helmets.

The German motorcycle builder has extended its warranty coverage to July 1 for its motorcycles and parts that had warranties set to expire between March 18 and June 1 and reiterates that all warranty terms and conditions remain unchanged.

For owners that may have encountered battery issues following the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, the company also announced a special campaign to offer customers a special revised price range for selected Motorrad batteries and chargers from now until July 10.

Moreover, the existing two-year warranty for all helmets in the BMW Motorrad product range has been extended to five years starting from Jan 1 and applies to helmets materials and manufacturing defects.

The helmet warranty excludes BMW Motorrad communication systems, damage caused by an accident, improper treatment, and inappropriate installation of third party equipment systems and accessories.

Usual wear and tear scratches on the visor, sun visor, helmet shell or plastic parts are not covered by the warranty.

“As we move into the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO), motorcycle fans and enthusiasts can get back to convoy riding to Make Life a Ride. In doing so, we at BMW Motorrad Malaysia are ensuring that riders received the complete premium ownership experience, tailoring our premium services to fit every situation and need, especially the times we are in. We are excited to welcome our motorcycle enthusiasts back on the road with a special range of programmes for warranty, batteries and helmets,” said BMW Motorrad Malaysia head Owen Riley.
