KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Malaysia is celebrating over a decade of discovering and supporting short films and digital content as well as emerging talent with its first ever BMW Shorties Film Festival on Saturday.

The festival will include performances from top Malaysian bands, some expert help in film and photography, specially designed merchandises up for grabs and a showcase of all past BMW Shorties winning films including the finalists for this year’s BMW Shorties!

Open to the public, workshops and tutorials by camera professionals from Canon will be held where every film producer’s quintessential gear, the ever-so-rare Canon EOS C300 MK2 camera will be featured.

Additionally, EFXCO Training and Certification Centre will be making an appearance to share skilful tips on visual effects, animation and graphic design with Adobe, Unity and Nuke.

Not forgetting the fun-filled Virtual Reality interactive session with VR Lab.

BMW Shorties Festival (Custom)

The festival calls upon all collectors of limited-edition items to make an appearance as special edition BMW Shorties Pantun Pins will be up for grabs!

Attendees can collect all four specially designed BMW Shorties Pantun Pins by going through the challenges set during the festival.

Feeding the hunger pangs of festival-goers, BMW Shorties have brought in not only one but two famous home-grown foodtrucks, Curbside Cantina and The Mothership who are set to serve up a storm for a small price.

Members of the public are set to be blown away with the delectable food from the Mexican and Italian-Western-Asian inspired food trucks.

BMW Shorties understands that a festival is not a festival without live music.

With special live performances by Jumero, Kaya, and Azmyl Yunor & Orkes Padu, guests will be sure to move their feet and hands to the beating sound of the drums.

The festival will open from 10am-10pm at APW, Bangsar, here.
