PETALING JAYA: Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Malaysia introduced its new Bosch Advantage wiper ahead of the "Balik Kampung" rush this coming Aidilfitri holiday to help drivers maintain good vision during down-pours when on the road.

The company says that the wiper (costing RM35 per pair) has been specially engineered for Asia and features what's called "tropicalized rubber".

The wiper is touted as being resistant to cracking due to over-exposure from the elements, such as ozone and sunlight, and is able to deliver 'like new' wiping endurance even after 200,000 wipe-cycles.

It comes equipped with an all-steel construction as well as a compatible "Fast-fit" adapter to suit more than 95% of vehicles in Asia and is available on Lazada as well as other major car accessories shops.

The wiper was introduced during the company's launch of its #GetItRight Workshop as part of its ‘One Wrong Part Ruins Everything’ campaign, which advocates safe mobility and the use of reliable parts right down to the choice of quality wiper blades.

The workshop also featured a #StartWithBosch DIY vehicle maintenance session where participants were taught how to check the engine oil level, brake fluid level, battery life cycle and condition of the wiper blades.

As part of the campaign, the company also revealed statistics from the World Health Organization (WHO) 2015 report, which found Malaysia’s traffic-related death-to-population ratio stands at 24.0 to 100,000 – more than five-times than neighbouring country, Singapore.

“With the introduction of the new Bosch Advantage Wiper, we encourage Malaysians to #GetItRight and #StartWithBosch by checking the condition of their wiper blades and replace them before “Balik Kampung,” said Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Malaysia country manager Pang Yoon Kong.
