PARIS: The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse "La Finale" marks the company’s last instalment for its supercar - first seen in 2005 - and this will be example number 450.

With 8.0-litres of displacement for its 16-cylinders in ‘W’ configuration and four turbochargers, the original managed to produce 987bhp and 1,250Nm of torque that shot it to 100kph from standstill in just 2.46sec.

During its decade-long existence, we saw the emergence of the Grand Sport (2009), a Super Sport (2010) and the Grand Sport Vitesse (2012) with numerous special editions slotted between them.

While it’s grown and matured over the years, so has its output, which now stands at a whopping 1,200bhp at 6,400rpm and 1,500Nm of torque from 3,000 to 5,000rpm within the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse.

The company has put together a brief showcasing of how the La Finale – with its red-tinted carbon fibre and scripted “La Finale” under its rear wing and under the right headlight, is put together.

Black exposed carbon fibre is used for its front wing panels, doors and side intakes.

Within the cabin, La Finale can found upholstered on the light beige leather contrasted by red “hot spur” tone on the arm rests, instrument panel and dashboard.

To top it all off, the bronze-casted Bugatti elephant is featured on the centre stowage compartment with the designation 450/450 painted in black below it.

As the sun sets on the Veyron, we now look to Bugatti’s next chapter in the world of supercars – the Chiron.
