SERDANG: UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) will once again be participating at the 2018 Malaysia Autoshow to be held this weekend, from Apr 26 to 29, 2018, at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) in Serdang, Selangor.

The Toyota exhibition area located in Hall A, displays the latest Toyota models and visitors can also experience the superior off-road capabilities of the Toyota Hilux and Fortuner at the outdoor location.

“Toyota has been a regular participant at the Malaysia Autoshow since its inception in 2010. Being an event focused on sales, we welcome the opportunity to show our latest models to visitors and invite them to take the vehicles for test-drives around MAEPS.

"Through their driving experiences, we hope they will see that Toyota offers ever-better vehicles to customers,” said Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor.

The highlight at the Toyota exhibition area are the new Toyota C-HR compact crossover SUV. Launched earlier this year in Malaysia, the C-HR has been drawing lots of attention with its head-turning looks. Visitors will be able to get a closer look at this example of ever-better cars from Toyota.

Also on display are the latest L-Edition Toyota Hilux, Vios, Sienta, Innova X and Avanza X.

Test-drives of the models around the spacious grounds of MAEPS are also available upon request. This will give visitors an opportunity to personally experience the performance, comfort and driving pleasure that Toyota vehicles offer.

Visitors to the Toyota booth can learn more about the various sales and aftersales services available from UMWT and its authorised dealers nationwide. These include attractive financing schemes such as the Toyota 2-Tier plan which offers lower instalments for the initial period of the hire-purchase loan.

At the outdoor sites (shuttles are provided to transport visitors), there will be an opportunity to experience the 4x4 capabilities of the Fortuner SUV and Hilux pick-up. Both models have a proven record of toughness and can serve its owners well as personal transport or ‘business partners’.

To demonstrate the superior climbing capabilities and driver-assist systems which make off-road driving safer, the vehicles can be driven up and down a steep ramp. On the ascent, there will be an opportunity to experience the Hillstart Assist Control while Downhill Assist Control makes driving down a steep slope safer and easier.

The Hilux celebrates its 50 th anniversary this year and in some regions, its name is even used to refer to any pick-up model, showing its legendary status. Visitors will be able to find out how it has gained this status when they travel around a challenging muddy course. With its robust 4x4 system supplemented by Active Traction Control and Vehicle Stability Control, the Hilux can easily take on rough and slippery terrain.

Throughout the four days of the Malaysia Autoshow 2018, there will various activities at the Toyota booth with chances for the public to win Toyota merchandise and other goodies.
