Citroen launches C4 Picasso

PUTRAJAYA: Naza Euro Motors, the exclusive distributor of the Citroen brand in Malaysia, has unveiled its latest multi-purpose vechicle (MPV) - the five seater C4 Picasso.


Priced on-the-road (inlcuding GST and insurance) at RM148,888, it comes with a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage and is available in four colours of Noir Onyx (black), Blanc Banquise (white), Blue Kyanos (blue), Gris Aluminium (grey) and Rouge Rubi (red).

Effectively a smaller version of the 5+2 seater Grand C4 Picasso, it uses an EMP2 platform and rolls on 17-inch wheels with 205/55 series tyres, while having a wheelbase of 2,785mm and measuring 4,428mm-long, 1,826mm-wide and 1,625mm-tall.


Under the hood is a turbocharged 1.6-litre direct injection engine with 162bhp and 240Nm of torque while a six-speed automatic gearbox manages power delivery to the front wheels.

In terms of  performance, it gets to 100kph from standstill in 9.3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 210kph and fuel efficiency has been rated at 17.3km/L with CO2 emissions at 130g/km.


Externally, it comes equipped with LED daytime-running lights, directional Xenon headlights positioned just above the slender headlamps and the fog lamps at the bottom corners of the front bumper and LED rear 3D-effect tail lights.

With 536 (expandable to 635 litres) of boot space with a height adjustable electric tailgate, the interior features a loft-style ambience thanks to the zenith windscreen and slate grey leather ‘Ondulice’ cloth.


Technologically, it posses an electric power steering that provides a turning circle of 10.8m as well as a full digital driving interface for an uncluttered dashboard that's structured around two screens - a seven-inch touchpad and a higher-mounted 12-inch panoramic HD screen on the centre console.

Luxury amenities include driver’s seat with electric massage function and adjustable lumbar support, park assist system (self-parking), front and rear parking assistance, active and dynamic cruise control, reverse camera as well as keyless entry and push-start button.


Last but not least, safety includes six airbags, anti-lock-braking system, electronic brake force distribution, electronic stability control with traction control, electronic brake assistance, electronic stability programme and ISOFIX anchor points.

Other electronic wizardry include lane departure warning system, blind spot monitoring system, hill start assist, automatic handbrake, automatic activation of hazard warning lights and active seatbelt safety system.
