Could the Toyota Land Cruiser be on its way out?

LOS ANGELES: The Toyota Land Cruiser may be taking its leave sometime next year.

The rumour mills have been working hard on the interwebs saying that the "invincible" Land Cruiser together with its might 5.7-litre V8 engine might be exiting the US market.

In its place, however, will be the Lexus NX with a downsized 3.5-litre V6 engine that'll be a lot easier on the environment.

But, the Land Cruiser won't be going without a last "hurrah".

Apparently, a Heritage Edition will be introduced with third-row seating and that means silver and grey colour choices will be back on the options list.

With production starting in 1951 and exports in Nov 1955, Toyota finally declared 68 years later in 2019 that it had sold more than 10 million Land Cruisers worldwide.
