As a single variant (Performance Line), this French SUV is being locally assembled in Gurun, Kedah, with an on-the-road price-tag (without insurance) of RM199,888 and comes with four colour choices of Nera Black, Pearl White, Absolute Red and Platinum Grey.
Warranty is a five-year or 120,000km warranty (whichever comes first) where new owners will have access to the Subang Skypark SkyLounge as well as a newly-launched suite of "DS Only You" services that includes DS At Your Service concierge services, DS Assistance - 24-hour roadside assistance, access to MyDS smartphone application and the DS Valet which handles local collection and delivery for servicing.
Sitting on Groupe PSA's Efficient Modular Platform 2 (EMP2), the DS 7 has a 2,738mm-wheelbase and measures in at 4,573mm-long, 1,906mm-wide and 1,625mm-tall while hiding a 1.6-litre (1,598cc) turbocharged engine under the hood that produces 165hp at 6,000rpm and 240Nm of torque from 1,400rpm.
The front-wheel driven power is managed by a six-speed automatic transmission (EAT6) with Electric Impulse Auto Gear Control and paddle-shifters while rolling on 19-inch "Beijing" Onyx Black alloy wheels with 235/50 series tyres that allow it to cruise at a top speed of 220kph while carrying 555 to 1,752 litres (with rear seats folded) of cargo in the boot.
Externally, the DS 7 has been fitted with LEDs for the front Active Vision headlights (with five beam-modes of Town Beam, Country Beam, Motorway Beam, Adverse Weather and High Beam), rear light clusters and daytime running lights.
The cabin takes on 'The Spirit of Avant-Garde' styling with an 8.0inch central touchscreen for the 14-speaker Focal Electra HiFi audio system that comes with wireless charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with Mirrorlink that makes up the DS Connect.
Occupants will note the ‘Clous de Paris’ guilloche trim finish for the toggle switches, the French watchmaker's BRM R180 Chronograph at the centre of the dashboard, chrome accents, ‘Basalt Black’ grained Alcantara upholstery with Carmine/Gold topstitching, aluminium pedals, leather-wrapped steering wheel and grab handles as well as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
The DS 7 has been given the full five-star crash rating from the European New Car Assessment Programme (EuroNCAP) with its six airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability program, emergency brake assist.
Also included are electronic brakeforce distribution, emergency brake assist, anti-skid regulation, dynamic stability control, driver attention warning, ISOFIX anchor points and a passenger detection system.

The company targets to sell 100 units of the DS 7 Crossback Performance Line SUV for the remainder of the year and is confident it will be able to achieve this.
