COLOGNE: Ducati has revved up three new versions of its Scrambler in the form of Full Throttle, Café Racer and Desert Sled for this year's International Motorcycle, Scooter and E-Bike Fair (INTERMOT 2018).

The fair will take place from Oct 3 to 7 in Cologne, Germany, and will see the new Full Throttle take its cue from the flat track Scrambler ridden by Californian racer Frankie Garcia in the 2018 American Super Hooligan Championship.

The two-tone black-yellow white-striped tank, all-new rear end with dedicated seat, white-rimmed yellow number holders, low-slung tapered handlebar, stubby front mudguard and dual-silencer exhaust will add to the distinctiveness of the Scrambler Full Throttle.

The Café Racer, with its renewed livery of Silver Ice Matt graphics with blue frame, draws its inspiration from the legendary Ducati 125GP Desmo, which is why it wears new 17-inch spoked wheels, aluminium bar-end mirrors, dual tailpipe, nose fairing, stubby mudguard and lateral number holders (number 54 in honour of Bruno Spiaggiari) to give the bike that '60s race look - although a modern radial front brake pump sits up front.

As for the Desert Sled, it gets a red frame, new seat with colour-coordinated stitching, spoked wheels with black rims, Off Road Riding Mode that allows for ABS disengagement, adjustable Kayaba suspension, headlight mesh guard, exclusively designed high mudguards, engine skid pan and a dedicated riding position.

The aluminium used on the beefier side panels help contrast against the steel of the teardrop tank and the glass of the headlight, while the black-painted engine and brushed cylinder head fins have been added for that two-toned look.

The bikes receive, as standard, an all-new headlight with LED Daytime Running Light, auto-off LED indicators, more ergonomic and simplified switchgears for the LCD menu that now shows selected gear and fuel level information.

They also come equipped with Ducati Multimedia System that lets riders listen to playlists, answer incoming calls or chat with the passenger on the intercom via Bluetooth.

For safety, the Scrambler-trio have also been equipped with a Cornering ABS system from Bosch and riders can now appreciate the new softer-feel hydraulic clutch control.
