Ducati Superleggera V4 unveiled

PETALING JAYA: Ducati in Malaysia has introduced the Italian motorcycle brand's finest sports machine, the Ducati Superleggera V4, recently.

The Superleggera V4 is priced at RM888,000 and is the most powerful and technologically advanced production Ducati ever built.

"Superleggera" means super light in Italian.

Thanks to an extensive use of carbon fibre, titanium and parts machined from solid aluminum, the Superleggera V4 has a dry weight of only 159kg.

There are only 500 units of this limited-edition machines in the world and every Superleggera V4 comes with a certificate of authenticity.

The first Malaysian owner is Datuk Nazir Hussin Akhtar Husin and his Superleggera V4 ID number 210/500 is found on the frame, fork yoke and ignition key.

The Superleggera V4 is the world’s only street-legal motorcycle with the entire load-bearing structure of the chassis made from composite materials.

To ensure the highest quality and safety standards, these components are 100% tested using the most sophisticated techniques which is available in the aerospace industry, such as thermography, ultrasound inspections and tomography.

Its 998cc engine churns out 224hp at 15,250rpm and peak torque of 116.05Nm at 11,750rpm to deliver an estimated top speed of 306kph.
