ROME: After picking up the European "Red Dot Award 2016", the Ducati XDiavel has once again been honoured with the prestigious “Good Design Award 2016”.

It's practically the world's oldest prize that's dedicated to the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial products and graphic designs produced internationally.

This year, the jury of the 2016 Good Design Award had the wonderful task of vetting through more than 900 candidates from 46 countries - to which they the bike to have the most unique silhouette of them all.

They also found the Italian cruiser to be a true Technocruiser that's a futuristic exaltation of mechanics and state-of-the-art technology, which injects Ducati DNA into the cruiser world with elegance.

While having a maximum lean angle of 40 degrees, the XDiavel S uses a 1,262cc Testastretta DVT V-twin engine producing 156hp and 129Nm that's transmitted to the rear wheel via a carbon-weave reinforced belt - a first for the Italian motorcycle maker.

The 247kg (wet) cruiser has a 755mm saddle-height, comes with cruise control, keyless-go, launch-control, three rider modes, traction control, cornering ABS, Brembo brakes, 17-inch wheels and Brembo brake callipers to name a few.

Costing more coin, the XDiavel S on the other hand comes with a M50 front calliper from the 1299 Panigale superbike, exclusive 17-inch wheels, machined engine casings and a gloss-black paint finish.
