KUALA LUMPUR: Shell Malaysia will soon introduce Rimula Ultra, which it claimed is one of the most advanced fully synthetic heavy-duty diesel engine oils in the world.

The flagship product meets the latest European ACEA E6 and ACEA E9 specifications and manufacturers’ approvals for use in ultra-modern diesel engines that comply with Euro 4 to Euro 6 emission standards.

It offers longer oil life and extended oil-drain intervals of up to 150,000km, better engine wear protection under all terrains and weather conditions as well as better fuel economy. Malaysia is said to be the first Asean market to sell Rimula Ultra.

Shell Malaysia had recently exhibited its range of Rimula lubricants, clean diesel and fuel card at the June 20-22 Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo. It was appointed the official fuel and lubricant partner for the expo.

Shell Malaysia said its current range of Rimula lubricants meet API CK-4 specifications and are said to be compatible with biofuels, including B10 biodiesel.

Shell Malaysia said when Rimula is used with its FuelSave Diesel, the benefits are amplified. The fuel promises to keep a vehicle’s engine clean and protected for efficient running, lowering operational costs for fleet operators.

The Shell Card, it added, offers a simple, secure and convenient way for fleet owners to buy fuels and keep their trucks running by enabling access to more than 900 Shell retail stations nationwide. Companies using the fuel card would be issued a single online invoice coupled with data insights for customised solutions.
