KOTA KINABALU: Ford owners and enthusiasts had fun negotiating tough off-road terrain in Tamparuli, Sabah during the recent Ford Lanun Darat 2015 adventure.

Organised by Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), Ford’s local distributor in Malaysia, the expedition progressed through two different off-road driving spots.

More than 80 participants were led on the challenge by veteran safety instructor Paul Si.

The convoy included 24 Ford Ranger pickups and an Everest SUV.

Tailored specifically for Ford customers and enthusiasts, this year’s event was packed with fun and challenging activities to showcase the Ranger’s durability.

“Lanun Darat is one of the many programmes organised for us to reach out to our customers and equip them with the necessary driving skills to make the most of their vehicles,” said SDAC managing director Lee Eu San.

The Lanun Darat 2015 adventure started from the SDAC showroom in Kota Kinabalu, with the first off-road session taking place in Tamparuli, where participants enjoyed a practical session on safe off-road techniques, before heading back to Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort.

The second day comprised another off-road session in Sepanggar, before the convoy made its way back to the showroom.
