KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia today previewed the facelifted Accord at its media lunch event at a hotel here.
The car, dressed in Obsidian Blue Pearl colour, had windows that were heavily tinted to discourage photography of the interior. From what we could make out in the harsh noon-day lighting, the dash looked to have some tweaks to it.
Honda Malaysia announced on Monday that the refreshed ninth-generation Accord is now open for booking nationwide and that it will be launched "very soon."
As is common with most facelifts, the car gets new front and rear bumpers. It also comes with new lighting design to complement the forward front look with solid wing face design. The rear tail lights have been revised, and now feature LED combi lights bars. New alloy wheels are added to freshen it up further. The 2.0-litre and 2.4-litre engines remain unchanged.
Other than blue, other body colours are White Orchid Pearl and Lunar Silver Metallic as well as Modern Steel Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.
The imminent debut of the Accord comes on the heels of the launch of the much anticipated Civic in June.
