BANGKOK: The facelifted Honda BR-V, first available in Indonesia, is now making its way to Thailand. However, you can be sure Honda Malaysia will introduce the refreshed model in Malaysia  soon enough.

The latest BR-V comes with what Honda describes as "a new tough-looking and sporty design".

The latest BR-V features a new chromium grille, projector headlights with LED position lights, LED daytime running lights, newly-designed fog lights, and sporty 16-inch alloy wheels with a brand new design. There's also a new seat design to complement the exterior.

The new model also comes in a new Passion Red Pearl colour, and is available with a three-row, seven-seat or a two-row, five-seat cabin configuration with adjustable functionality.

The Thais get two variants.: the SV and V.

The SV variant, priced at 835,000 baht (RM112,000), comes with new projector headlights with LED position lights, LED daytime running lights, and newly-designed fog lights. The premium sporty exterior look is enhanced by a shark-fin style radio antenna.

A 7-seater with a sporty two-tone interior in black and red, the SV variant has three rows of seats.

The lower-end V variant, priced at 765,000 baht (RM103,000), is equipped with projector headlights. It’s a 5-seater with two rows of seats. The second-row seat, a 60:40 split folding, is a one-motion tumble type. The cabin offers generous storage space to meet all usage requirements, with a cargo floorboard and a utility box under the second-row seat.

Typical of facelifts, the engine remains unchanged. The 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine produces 120PS at 6,600rpm and 145Nm of torque at 4,600rpm, delivered to the front axle. It is mated to a CVT (continuous variable transmission).
