The latest Vios is sold in four grades - J, E, G and S. Sources said the Thai-specced Vios will have a revised instrument cluster and infotainment system as well as a cabin made sportier with a black theme.
Available in a choice of six body colours, the new Vios is priced from 609,000 baht (RM76,677) for the J grade to 789,000 baht (RM99,268) for the top S grade.
As in most model refreshes, the engine and gearbox are left untouched. The Vios retains the 1.5-litre dual VVT-i engine and a 7-speed continuously variable transmission (CVT).
With the Thai rollout today, it won't be long before Malaysians will be seeing it on local roads as UMW Toyota Motor works in the background to prepare the way for its launch later this year.
