PARIS: The first three Bugatti Chirons are on their way to their owners.

Bugatti said in a statement on Friday that they are being delivered to their owners in Europe and the Middle East. No other details were revealed about the lucky trio.

As the most luxurious and most exclusive production super sports cars in the world, each of the car were seen off to their final destinations by the 50 production, quality assurance and logistics team members at the Molsheim plant in north-eastern France. To celebrate the milestone, Bugatti has created a video that tracked the cars' production to their rollout.

Bugatti plans to produce up to 70 Chiron at its plant this year.

The Chiron is the world’s first production sports car with 1,500hp. It has a torque of 1,600Nm between 2,000rpm and 6,000rpm and has a top speed of 420kph, limited for road travel. It goes from 0 to 100kph in less than 2.5 seconds.

The Chiron made its South-East Asian debut in Singapore last September during a Bugatti world tour. Singapore is Bugatti’s hub in this region.

Half of the total series of 500 vehicles have already found a buyer – even without test drives. At the end of March, the French super sports car brand is inviting its customers to a central test drive event.

With 37 percent of all sales, Europe is the strongest region, as was the case with the Veyron, followed by North America with 30 percent of orders to date. The Middle East, with 26 percent, is another key traditional market for Bugatti.

Chiron customers have a choice of eight carbon colours: Black, Grey, Turquoise, Blue, Green, Brown, Red and Bleu Royal.

The French luxury brand will be presenting a further customer vehicle at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, which runs from March 9-19. The car is specified with a Bleu Royal exterior carbon fibre, while the interior is in a duotone leather upholstery of  “Deep Blue” and “French Racing Blue”.
