First pair of Tata Super Ace presented to Lazada's driver contractors

KUALA LUMPUR: DRB-HICOM Commercial Vehicles (DHCV), the exclusive distributor of Tata Motors commercial vehicles, presented its first two Tata Super Ace to LEL Express' driver contractors of Reza Sadon Enterprise and CFD 74 Enterprise.

LEL Express is the logistics arm of leading South-east Asian e-commerce platform Lazada Malaysia, which decided to introduce the Super Ace in order to further expand its last mile delivery capabilities.

DHCV chief operating officer Mohd Syahrul Yusuf presented the mock keys to the new owners and was witnessed by DRB-HICOM Berhad automotive distribution (Manufacturing and Engineering) head Rohime Shafie, Tata Motors Limited head of international business (Commercial Vehicles) Rudrarup Maitra and LEL Express vice president head of strategic partnership Arpit Srivastava.

The one-tonne mini-trucks, with its fabricated customised box body to cater for the needs of e-commerce delivery services, were handed over to Reza Sadon Enterprise and CFD 74 Enterprise.

LEL Express is currently gearing up towards Lazada’s biggest online event of the year - the 11.11 sale on Nov 11.

The 2017 edition of the 11.11 shopping extravaganza saw more than 10mil visits on Lazada Malaysia’s mobile application and website within 24 hours.

The local e-commerce platform said that it experienced 1,400 transactions per minute with merchants selling over 50 times their daily volume. This year, the numbers are expected to increase considerably.

The Super ACe is a one-tonne mini-truck fitted with a 1,405cc turbo diesel engine and is meant for intra and inter-city transportation solutions.
