Ford Mustang gallops to Penang

KUALA LUMPUR: The all-new Ford Mustang will put on public display from July 15 to 24 at the Sime Darby Auto Connexion Juru Showroom in Penang.

The car on display will be the 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine with 317PS and 432Nm of torque that's managed by a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

The company recently announced that the official price of the Mustang starts from RM488,888, while the more potent 5.0-litre V8 variant with 416PS and 530Nm of torque is priced from RM598,888.

The Mustang is being touted as being more aerodynamic and fuel efficient while possessing better handling and a more precise steering control to make it even more fun to drive than before.

It comes equipped with eight airbags - dual-front, side, curtain and knee airbags, while featuring the brand with the blue oval's award-winning SYNC 2 in-car connectivity system.

The car is being assembled at the company's Flat Rock facility in Michigan, United States.

Other features include keyless entry with push-start button, MyKey - promotes good driving habits by providing seat belt usage reminders, limiting the vehicle’s top speed and decreasing the audio volume to name a few.

Safety is enhanced by electronic brake-force distribution, AdvanceTrac with electronic stability control, electric power assisted steering, SOS – Post-Crash Alert System, tyre pressure monitoring system and a rear view camera.

Both variants are available in five colours choices of Race Red, Oxford White, Shadow Black, Deep Impact Blue, and Magnetic, while a special Triple Yellow Tri-coat colour is exclusively available for the 5.0 Mustang.
