Four men in viral road rage video arrested, test positive for drugs

KLANG: The four men who destroyed the windscreen and windows of a car as well as assaulted the vehicle’s driver on Sunday have been arrested by the South Klang police.

South Klang OCPD ACP Shamsul Amar Ramli said that the police acted on a report made relating to videos of the incident that had gone viral on social media.

According to ACP Shamsul Amar, the incident happened on April 18 at about 4.30pm when the vehicle with the four alleged aggressors rear-ended another vehicle driven by the male victim in Taman Sentosa here.

The victim, an 25-year-old employment agency employee, was travelling from Taman Sentosa to Port Klang to drop off his cousin, who was with him in the car at the time of the incident.





“The suspects broke the car windows and pulled the victim out of the vehicle and hit him with a piece of wood as well as snatched a cell phone belonging to the cousin.

“The South Klang police managed to detain all four individuals between 7pm and 11pm on the same day. The suspects tested positive for methamphetamine," said ACP Shamsul Amar.

He added that all four suspects are aged from 23 to 35, are jobless and are drug addicts and said that the matter is being investigated under Section 394/427 of the Penal Code.
