KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia presented four lucky winners with special edition models of the Jazz, Civic, CR-V and Accord at its "1 Million Dreams Grand Finale" event over the weekend.

The event was held at Bukit Jalil National Stadium here to mark Honda Malaysia's milestone of having sold 1 million cars since 2001.

The recipients of the cars were Shaiful Rezza Abdul Razak who won the Jazz; Chuah Sze Yong (Civic); Lim Lye-Gaik (CR-V); and Abdul Hakim Mohd Radzi (Accord).

The Jazz was set aside for frontline workers fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. The winner, Shaiful, is a policeman.

The Special Edition models come with unique features, making them a one-of-a-kind model in Malaysia.

The cars come with dual tone exterior, front fascia with red highlights, sporty red line side mirrors, black painted alloy wheels with red highlights as well as 1 Million Dreams Signature Emblem on both front fenders of the cars.

They also get the 1 Million Dreams embossed leather headrest for both driver and front passenger seats,  leather steering wheel with red stitching and centre mark, and special edition leather key pouch.

Three more Honda cars are to be given away.  Winners of the special edition models of the BR-V, City and HR-V would be announced by CUCKOO, Shopee and Watsons in early April.

Since Honda Malaysia kicked off the campaign in February, it had received over 155,600 entries within a month.

"The 1 millionth sale unit is an important milestone for Honda Malaysia since we began our sales journey in 2001," said Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Toichi Ishiyama.

"Over the years, we introduced many models with advanced technologies that were well received in the market, and became the segment leaders. Highly popular models such as the City, Civic and CR-V contributed to the overall 1 million sales units, accounting for 37%, 15% and 11% respectively.

"We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all Honda customers, members of the media, our dealer partners and the Malaysian government for their unwavering support for Honda Malaysia."

Also present at the event were Honda Malaysia chief operating officer Sarly Adle Sarkum; Shopee Malaysia's Shopee Mall head Kenneth Soh; CUCKOO founder/CEO Hoe Kian Choon; and Watsons Malaysia customer director Danny Hoh.
