PETALING JAYA: At the stroke of midnight tonight, fuel prices will once again rise across the board and stay in effect from June 27 to July 3.

In a statement, the Finance Ministry said that the price of RON95 petrol will be increased by 10 sen from RM1.59 per litre to RM1.69 per litre.
The price of RON97 petrol will also see a 10 sen increase from RM1.89 to RM1.99 per litre while diesel goes up by nine sen from RM1.77 to RM1.86 per litre.

"This increase is due to changes in refined product prices, in line with current crude oil prices. The Government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price changes and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of the people," said the ministry in a statement today (June 26).

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was reintroduced on Jan 5, 2019, under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) where fuel prices are announced every Friday and remain in force for one week.
