KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas petrol stations are going to get more customer-friendly as they have signed on the KFC fast food chain at selected stations nationwide.

Petronas Dagangan Bhd said 50 new KFC Drive-Thru outlets are expected to be set up at Petronas stations within three years.

It signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary, QSR Stores Sdn Bhd.

QSR Brands managing director Datuk Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil said the deal with Petronas Dagangan gave it a way to expand its business and restaurant services. “We want our service to be easily accessible to customers."

QSR is the largest quick service restaurant operator in South-East Asia with over 1,250 KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants in Malaysia,Singapore, Brunei and Cambodia.

Last month, it was announced that Petronas Dagangan had agreed to allow Starbucks to set up shop at some of its stations nationwide, too. A total of 100 Starbucks kiosks are expected in due course.
