SEOUL: Hyundai Motor Company has appointed its executive vice president, Jaehoon Chang, as the new global head of the Genesis brand.
Chang, also known as Jay, will be responsible for the Genesis business, leading its global expansion, starting this month.
Chang joins Genesis with extensive and varied experience in the group. He has worked in the Production Development Planning, Customer Experience, Korean Business and People & Business Operation Support Divisions.
Hyundai said his focus on customer experience, quality and corporate growth strategy positions him to lead Genesis through its next phase of growth.
In his new capacity, Chang will lead the brand’s further expansion by increasing sales and brand awareness around the world, becoming a strong presence in the luxury automotive market.
He replaces Yong-woo Lee, who has been promoted as CEO of Innocean, Hyundai's global marketing communications company.
