Geneva Motor Show opens to world's media

GENEVA: The 85th edition of the Geneva Motor Show opened for preview to the world’s media today.

Over 130 new models are showcased including 90 world firsts and 41 European premieres at the Palexpo conventre centre, a sprawling complex where the various brands and accessories were on display on two floors.

Among the much awaited reveals were the Renault Kadjar, Honda Civic Type R, Audi RS3 Sportback, Nissan Sway Concept and the astonishing 1,500hp/2,000Nm Koenigsegg Regera.

The 458 Italia replacement, the turbocharged 488 GTB, also drew a big crowd at the Ferrari stand, where former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his son Tan Sri Mokhzani,  made a surprise visit in the afternoon.

The preview continues on Wednesday ahead of the show’s official run from March 5-15.
