SHAH ALAM: Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), is providing an experience for visitors to its 4Sure Thrill event with two-time Japanese Dakar Rally champion Hiroshi Masuoka and Malaysian motorsports athlete Leona Chin.

Admission to the event is free and will take place from Mar 9 to 10 at the Setia City Convention Centre, Outdoor carpark from 10.00am to 8.00pm.



Other than taking part in the high-speed rides with Masuoka and Chin, visitors can test drive the Triton's new inclusions of Super-Select 4WD II system, Off-road mode and Hill Descent Control over a specially-built track with muddy terrain, uneven surfaces and a descending track.



During the event, entertainment for the entire family will be provided on top as well as RM5,000 worth of lucky draw prizes to be won and a 4Sure Thrill photo/video contest where winners will receive RM800 petrol card vouchers, RM500 Touch & Go card and RM300 Tesco vouchers for the first, second and third prizes respectively.

The first 100 participants will receive a free Starbucks coffee after completing all three high-speed ride, off-road obstacle course and on-road test drive.

An exclusive Ralliart umbrella will be given to those who book any Mitsubishi model during the event, but the first 1,000 to do so will receive an exclusive limited edition Thule Subterra luggage worth RM2,000, while the first 30 will be provided with a RM30 petrol voucher.

The new Triton is available in a choice of five variants and four colours that include the Triton Adventure X, which is priced on-the-road without insurance at RM135,200 and is available in either White Diamond or Jet Black Mica.

There is also the Triton AT Premium costing RM118,600 (White Diamond, Graphite Gray), Triton MT Premium at RM112,500 (White Diamond, Graphite Gray), Triton AT at RM105,990 (White Diamond and Sterling Silver) and the Triton MT at RM100,200 (White Diamond, Sterling Silver).

In 2002, Masuoka became the second Japanese driver to win the prestigious Dakar Rally in a Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero and in 2003 he again took his second successive victory.

At current, Mitsubishi is known as the most successful make in Dakar Rally history, winning the “World's Toughest Race” a record of 12 times.

Leona ventured into motorsports when she was 20 and was quickly associated with the title ‘girl drifter’.

Some of Leona’s recent achievements include Most Promising Female Motorsports Athlete in the Asia Automotive Awards 2019 and Most Inspiring Female Motorsports Athlete in the PETRONAS SIC Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM) Awards.
