Gordon Murray Automotive to reveal new T.33 Spider on April 4

LONDON: The Gordon Murray Automotive T.33 Spider – designed and engineered to be the world’s most engaging V12-powered open supercar – will make its global online debut on April 4.

It's expected to use the same engine as the T.33 coupe and the T.50. This means it will get the naturally aspirated 3.9-litre V12 taken from Cosworth, which produces 607hp and 451Nm of torque.

Like the coupe, it would come with a choice of six-speed paddle-shift transmission and a six-speed manual.

“From the outset of the T.33 programme, I always intended there to be a Spider – in fact, I sketched the Spider before the coupe to ensure the proportions worked," said Prof Gordon Murray.

"And from that first sketch I knew, with its open cockpit and the incredible Cosworth GMA.2 V12 engine right behind you, the T.33 Spider would deliver a truly involving driving experience that’s quite unlike anything else.”

The T.33 Spider global reveal can be viewed, along with full technical details, images and supporting films, on April 4 from 17:00 British Summertime (midnight April 5 in Malaysia) at www.gordonmurrayautomotive.com
