SEREMBAN: A device to limit the speed of a vehicle to 110kph should be introduced in Malaysia, said Science, Technology and Innovation deputy minister Datuk Dr Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah.

He said the device costing less than RM500 could be fitted in any vehicle including imported cars, and motorcycle.

Road accidents could hopefully be reduced by the use of the device, according to him.

"If we can implement this, we will be the first country to control the speed limit enforced by the country via technology," he said after launching a ministry programme at Sekolah Menengah Teknik Tuanku Jaafar here on Saturday.
