SHAH ALAM: Great Wall Haval assembler Go Automobile Manufacturing Sdn Bhd has teamed up with Sirim to tap its research expertise and cut production costs.

The two-year tie-up would also enable it to meet regulatory and market requirements.

Sirim president/CEO  Dr Ahmad Fadzil Mohamad Hani said areas it could help Go Automobile Manufacturing with are in lithium-ion or sodium-ion batteries, rapid prototyping and 3-D printing. Sirim would also open its e-mobility testing facilities for use, he added.

Both organisations today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to that effect.
