Available for SE, V and VL variants, the Black Series refers to all blacked-out componentry, including a new matte black front grille, headlamp eye lid covers, blackout front bumper, matte black fog lamp covers, side mirror covers, front and rear overfenders, and sport bar in black finish for the cargo bed; while seats are covered in combination black leather.
Prices of the SE, V and VL variants are RM108,800, RM115,800 and RM124,800 respectively.
Underneath the bonnet is an engine that remains unchanged. The VL variant has a 2.5 litre turbocharged intercooler diesel engine that produces 187hp and 450Nm of torque, and fitted with a first-in-class seven-speed automatic transmission with manual mode. It is the first Japanese pickup in Malaysia with multi-link rear suspension system that promises SUV levels of driving comfort and handling.
It is also the only pickup with Zero Gravity Inspired Seats that is said to minimise driver fatigue on long distance drives. According to Nissan , such "fatigue-free” seats were developed in a weightless environment, creating a setting for the ideal posture to make long drives more pleasant while maintaining seat comfort.
The Black Series kit are factory-fitted and includes a three-year or 100,000km warranty (whichever comes first).
