The City Special Edition, only available for the E variant, is priced at RM75,955 for Passion Red Pearl colour and RM76,075 for White Orchid Pearl.
Honda Malaysia sells the 1.5-litre City in five variants namely S, E, V, SE and the range-topping Hybrid, with prices ranging from RM73,000 to a little over RM92,000.
The extra kit in the special edition are a digital video recorder (with rear view recording function), door visors and trunk organiser. Like Perodua's Myvi and Aruz, the City now tosses in a built-in toll reader that taps power from the car battery.
The City is Honda Malaysia bestseller, contributing 34% to total company sales, while maintaining the brand's No.1 position in its segment from January to July 2019.
The City SE arrival comes at a time when Honda Malaysia is holding its "Road to 900,000th Unit Milestone Campaign" where nine cars are up for grabs.
