LOS ANGELES: American Honda announced a new and exclusive collaboration with independent fashion retailer Forever 21 that will launch a capsule collection of apparel inspired by Honda racing gear from the '80s and '90s.

Honda's brand management agency, Earthbound—using its expertise in uniting brands—helped bring the two companies together for this collection.

To start the project, both companies organised an Instagram contest that require participants to post an Instagram photo of themselves wearing a garment from the F21xHonda collection and stand a chance to win a new CRF250L motorcycle.

Included in the F21xHonda collection are men's and women's attire featuring modern silhouettes adorned with nostalgic iconography and is available in stores throughout North America as well as on Forever21.com

"Honda's motorcycle racing success in the '80s and '90s was legendary, with our riders earning many championships in domestic and international series. While we're focused on winning with our current teams, it's fun to see our racing heritage honoured by Forever 21 with a completely new audience," said Honda Powersports Marketing senior manager Mike Snyder.
