It said it had sold over 44,200 in the first six months, with the most popular model by volume being City at 34%, HR-V (20%) and CR-V (14%).
The Jazz, City, Civic, HR-V, CR-V and BR-V continue to lead in their respective segments, it added.
Honda Malaysia said it is still on top in the non-national segment and is second in overall Total Industry Volume (TIV) for the first half of 2019, contributing 15.3% to the TIV.
In conjunction with the announcement, Honda Malaysia is running a "Tech Frontier Rewards" promotion on all models except Civic Type R, offering cash rewards and gifts worth up to RM5,000. The promotion ends on Sept 30. Read the fine print as usual as terms and conditions apply.
“The first half of 2019 has been challenging but encouraging for us. The Civic reached a milestone of 130,000th units sold while the Jazz delivered the 100,000th unit to its owner," said Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Toichi Ishiyama.
"It is truly inspiring for us to see how these two models have become a favorite among Malaysians and we are hoping to achieve more milestones this year."
