LONDON: Hyundai Motor Company revealed the first glimpse of its smallest electric vehicle (EV)  with a video about its construction.

The petite EV’s exterior style is based on the ‘45’ EV concept that the South Korean carmaker presented in 2019 during the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt.

The carmaker's designers adopted the signature ‘kinetic cube lamp’ design of the ‘45’ with its angular yet smooth profile to create this yet-to-be-named EV that sports a Performance Blue exterior colour with orange accents.

This "little engine that could" uses two Direct Current (DC) motors that can accelerate up to a top speed of 7kph and only has one seat in the middle.

This new EV is built out of wood and although it doesn't have an officially rated driving range yet, a driver’s laughter is believed to have an effect on extending its range thanks to its Emotion Adaptive Vehicle Control (EAVC) technology.

Further details will be revealed soon on how this one-of-a-kind EV will offer a unique mobility experience for young customers.
