LOS ANGELES: Look hard at the Toyota Supra and you might start to imagine the front end of a different car.
For artist Michael Grigorev, it seemed that the intricate nose of the Supra would sit well with a grille from supercar builder Bugatti to bring about the "Togatti Supron" (Toyota Supra + Bugatti Chiron).
The Supra actually looks like an ideal candidate for the nose job as rendered in this post. Its appearance reminds one of the Italian supercar brand's Galibier concept that did not take off.
Arguably, the grille might have actually helped tone down the already busy front end that tries to emulate an F1 racecar's nose to some degree.
Although the front end is just an artist's fantasy, fans of the Supra are calling for an open-top variant like the BMW Z4.
After all, the two carmakers share the same platform, so a Targa / Speedster version of the Supra is definitely a possibility.
The question is, will Toyota be willing to develop one or is it already in the pipeline and it's not telling? We will just have to wait and see.
