Inferno Exotic Car to roll off production line in 2017?

ROME: Mexican hypercar builder Inferno - the third edition to South America's "booming" sports car manufacturer, is gunning for the Bugatti Chiron, with word that its 'Exotic Car' might just be rolling off the assembly line next year.

It seems the company is all set to begin building its US$2.1mil (RM8.5mil) "loco" hypercar in Italy with 1,400hp / 1,525Nm, enabling it to sprint from 0-100kph in 2.7 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 394kph.

Although there's no word of an engine provider as yet, there's still rumours of a twin-turbo V8 looking to take up residence at the rear of this sub-1,200kg beast that's been compared to a level-4 armoured vehicle that uses an exclusive zinc-aluminium-silver alloy for its body.

Thanks to the concoction of metals, the car will be able to “absorb impacts by stretching (the metal) up to 100 times its original size without losing its properties," said CEO Alvaro Gutierrez Ochoa - making it one of the safest hypercars available.

The company has planned to build 11 first edition models and it seems eight of the Exotic Car have already been bought.
