KUALA LUMPUR: Isuzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd feted its fleet customers and dealers to a dinner last night as a gesture of appreciation for their support over the years.
Some 200 guests turned up at the Glasshouse events venue here. Aside from fleet customers and dealers, they included members of the media as well as management and representatives from Isuzu Malaysia head office.
The highlight of the Customer Appreciation Night 2018 were awards given to selected Isuzu fleet customers from 50 companies. These companies had chosen Isuzu trucks as their choice for commercial vehicles, in which 17 of those companies received special awards and acknowledgements from Isuzu Malaysia.
The evening kicked-off with a rousing Japanese Taiko drum performance, followed by a speech and a toast led by Isuzu Malaysia chief executive officer Koji Nakamura.
Chief operating officer Atsunori Murata revealed that Isuzu had outsold its rivals for four consecutive years from 2014.
According to the company's aftersales chief operating officer Ryo Kakogawa, it strives for a quick turn-around time for vehicle servicing to ensure its customers' business operations are not disrupted. Key to that brand promise is the Isuzu Service Centre, its flagship aftersales facility in Shah Alam, he added.
At the event, guests were entertained by a sand art animation performance and a stand-up comedy routine by Dr Jason Leong.
