Lower-priced Jaguar F-Pace earmarked for April arrival

SETIA ALAM: Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia has indicated that a more affordable F-Pace sport utility vehicle in a 2.0-litre turbocharged guise will be arriving in Malaysia sometime in April.

The company is staying tight-lipped on its exact pricing and is only indicating that it will be somewhere under the RM500,000 mark.

The 2.0-litre variant (1,997cc) will be fitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift from ZF to manage the 250PS at 5,500rpm and 365Nm of torque from 1,200 to 4,500rpm before sending it to the all-wheel drive system.

This will allow it to sprint from 0-100kph in 6.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 217kph, while wearing 20-inch five-twin-spoke Venom wheels.

In terms of equipment, the F-Pace will be slapped with LEDs for the adaptive headlights and J-blade daytime running lights, while a Black Pack R-Sport is available as an optional extra.

The cabin will be draped in either Ebony or Ebony with Light Oyster leather and will come equipped with adaptive cruise control with Queue Assist, fixed panoramic roof, powered 'gesture' tailgate and a 380-watt Meridian sound system with InControl Touch Pro and 360-degree view camera system to name a few.
