TAIPEI: Mandopop singer Jay Chou received a shoebox during a gift exchange game at a Christmas party which led him to a Lamborghini Super Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).
The party was hosted by his actress wife Hannah Quinlivan, Oriental Daily reported. When Chou opened the box, it contained clues to the exchange game and required him to close his eyes. It eventually led him to the Urus.
The Urus, touted as “the world’s first super SUV”, was introduced in Taiwan in July at a price of NT$999,890,000 (RM1.36mil). It boasts a 4.0 litre V8 twin-turbo engine with 650hp and top speed of 305kph. It can race to 100kph in 3.6 seconds.
The present was also to mark Chou’s 40th birthday next month. Chou said this was the first time he had ever received a car from a woman.
Quinlivan, 25, married Chou in January 2015. They have a daughter and a son.
Chou is set to star in the fourth instalment of the xXx action flick alongside Vin Diesel. Filming would start next year. The singer-actor made his Hollywood debut in the 2011 movie Green Hornet.
