Johor football players present Aston Martin gift to TMJ

PETALING JAYA: Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim received a luxury car as a special gift in conjunction with the Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) football club's success in winning its tenth trophy.

"Johor Darul Ta'zim players and coaching staff surprised HRH The Crown Prince of Johor with a custom Aston Martin with a Johor concept (red and blue)," read a post on the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page.

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage S features a red and blue theme – the colours of the Johor flag. It has 4.7-litre V8 engine producing  430hp and 490Nm of torque with a 0-100kph  sprint time of 4.8s. It has a top speed of 305kph.

This version of the Vantage has been around since 2014 and has been succeeded by the 2018 Vantage that's based on the new architecture shared with the DB11.

JDT kicked off the 2018 Malaysian Super League football season by defeating Kedah 2-1 in the Charity Shield match on Feb 3.
