The Finance Ministry said the price of RON95 petrol will drop by 4 sen to RM1.65; RON97 petrol also drop by 4 sen to RM1.95; and diesel to drop by 2 sen to RM1.84.
"The drop in prices is due to the change in the prices of refined fossil fuel products, in line with global crude oil prices at this time," said the ministry in a statement today (July 3).
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was reintroduced on Jan 5, 2019, under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) where fuel prices are announced every Friday and remain in force for one week.
