SEOUL: South Korean carmaker Kia has teased latest iteration of its fourth-generation flagship Sorento sport utility vehicle ahead of its full unveil via an online broadcast that's been set for tomorrow with UK sales to commence in the third quarter of 2020.

Due to have its covers pulled off via Facebook live stream, the global unveiling of the Sorento will be showcased in European specification at the Geneva Motor Show which was cancelled at the last minute due to the growing risks associated with the spread of COVID-19.

The online event will take place at 11:30am (GMT) on Thursday 19 March on Kia Motors Worldwide Facebook page where viewers can participate in the broadcast, with Kia representatives from responding in real-time to questions from viewers following a short presentation.

Facebook users submitting questions have the chance to win one of 60 six-month print and digital subscriptions to TIME magazine with the winners picked based on the quality of their questions.

The Sorento SUV is being touted to be powerful, progressive and versatile after having been designed and engineered to take on everything that life can throw at it.

Externally, it will feature sharper lines, high-tech details, and elongated proportions to give it a more confident and mature presence while the three-row cabin introduces premium-quality materials, cutting-edge infotainment technologies, and above all else - a stunning new design.

The South Korean carmaker also announced that for the first time, the Sorento line-up will feature the company's new hybrid "Smartstream" electrified powertrain that will help provide improved fuel economy, lower emissions and higher performance compared to its predecessors.
