PETALING JAYA: Kia will be changing the name of the Sedona to the Carnival, which in Malaysia is no big surprise since it's already called the Carnival here, according to thekoreancarblog,

However, the all-new Carnival in the US will be based on an inspired SUV design instead of a mini-van.

The blog goes on to describe the new Carnival as having a longer wheelbase with distinct design changes to the exterior and interior.

One of the standout designs of the new Carnival is the 'island roof' with blacked out A and B pillars while the roof retains the body-colour.

The interior boasts two 12.3 inch screens for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system and three-rows of seats to fit seven people.

The powertrain has not been confirmed but the blog suggests that it will consist of the 3.5-litre GDi (gasoline direct injection) V6, producing up to 294PS and 355Nm of torque.
