KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia is showcasing at KLIMS'18 a bevy of cars including the Clarity fuel cell vehicle and the brand's advanced technologies under its "Frontier of Innovation".
Among the display are:
Clarity Fuel Cell
Clarity's motor gets electricity from the conversion of hydrogen. Aside from being clean technology, the electric motor provides instant acceleration and more than enough performance to satisy drivers.
Jazz and CR-V Mugen concept
Both cars are equipped with Mugen body kit for an elevated level of sportiness. The new Passion Red Pearl colour adds another level of pizzaz.
Honda Sensing
This intelligent driver assistance system uses a monocular camera and millimetre wave radar system to detect vehicles and road lines. The seven safety features of Honda Sensing are Adaptive Cruise Control, Low Speed Follow, Forward Collision Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation and Lane Departure Warning.
Honda Sensing was first introduced in the CR-V and extended to the Accord and Odyssey.
VTEC Turbocharged
Honda introduced its 1.5-litre turbo charged engine in the Civic and CR-V in 2016 and 2017 respectively, providing performance similar to a 2.4-litre car but with better fuel efficiency.
The latest Civic Type R, holder of the title of Fastest Front-wheel-Drive Production Car in the world, uses Honda's powerful 2.0-litre VTEC turbo engine with 310PS and 400Nm of torque.
Sport Hybrid
The Sport Hybrid technology features Intelligent Dual-Clutch Drive (i-DCD) that integrates a 1.5-litre DOHC I-VTEC engine, electric motor and lithium ion battery with a seven-speed dual clutch for a more dynamic drive.
