KUALA LUMPUR: The Ranger Raptor was launched today by Ford distributor Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC) at the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS) 2018.
The Ranger Raptor - Asia Pacific's first and only factory-built high-speed off-road performance truck, is priced at RM199,888 with two colours that include Lightning Blue and Conquer Grey.
The Ranger Raptor features a Terrain Management System (TMS) that offers six modes that includes Baja (baha) Mode.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine mated to a 10-speed autimatic transmission with standard front and rear Position Sensitive Damping (PSD) shock absorbers (exclusively made by FOX), and an all-new Watt's linkage rear suspension with coilover rear springs.
The Ranger Raptor engine produces 210hp at 3,750rpm and 500Nm of torque from 1,750rpm to 2,000rpm. It has a 283mm ground clearance and 850mm wading depth.

Alongside the Ranger Raptor, SDAC also unveiled the new Mustang, which has been confirmed to arrive in Malaysia next year.
The Mustang is the only unit air-flown into Malaysia for the 10-day motor show. The Mustang is a cultural icon and the world’s best-selling sports car for three years straight with
more than one-third of its sales in global markets.
Since global exports began in 2015 through December 2017, Ford has sold 418,000 Mustangs in 146 countries.
